I had a wax with M**** I found she lacked warmth and felt she was discussing me to another staff member (can’t be certain). As a service that’s personal and being another woman you’d think there would be more care taken in making sure the client felt welcomed, not judged. I left feeling a tad upset/disheartened. Even though she may have been doing this for years (completely happy with the wax) I think experience is nothing when it comes to bed side manner. Some self awareness wouldn’t go a stray as she was very readable with the energy she gave me. I have never gone out of my way to write a negative review before…

I went to take my daughter to get her second piercing on her ear lobes yesterday, Tuesday 7/11. We were served by a really lovely young lady, sorry I can’t remember her name 🤦🏻‍♀️ Because my daughter was under age she made sure we understood all the T&C’s. She took us through to the procedure room and made sure my daughter was comfortable before making the final decision. She went through all the care instructions, made sure my daughter was happy with the position of the piercings and the went ahead with the procedure. I will definitely be bringing my other daughter here for her piercings. Thank you for a very comfortable and welcoming experience.

I got my Tragus pierced by Kaitlin a few days ago and she was the absolute sweetest and made sure to go through everything with me and took her time to make sure I was ready. Highly recommend her!! Then I got my thirds and a forward helix done by Emily today and I’m so disappointed. She had dotted the placement for the earrings which was all good, then I literally sat down for 10 seconds and she had already pierced my third with the gun. I had no idea she was actually going to pierce it at that moment, she just went for it without telling me. There was no professionalism with her piercing my ear especially with my forward helix. There was no communication from her about what she was doing, when she was doing it, no asking if I’m okay after my first piercing and no asking if I’m ready. It felt like I was a mannequin she had no respect for. Sure I’ve had other piercings done so I know how it goes but for the ease of customers’ minds you would think she would have a better professionalism to her but there was absolutely zero.

I wanted to try this new salon, but they cancelled my appointment two hours before its scheduled time, admitting that the beautician I had booked had taken another appointment with a regular customer. I found this unprofessional and lacking regard and won’t be going back there. I ended up using Mystical Beauty and Brow in Southland and they were great.
